One Thousand Shades of Pink

What do bougainvillea, petunia, begonia, peony and rose all have in common?  Yes, they are all flowers, but they also are all available in pink.  Flowers come in a thousand shades of pink.  From the hottest shade of fuchsia to the palest bubblegum, and everything in between, you are sure to find your favorite flower in a tone or two that works for your wedding.

The color pink represents femininity, starting with a baby girl’s first blanket and continuing to the ribbon tied in her hair at her first dance.  But, pink is not just for little girls.  It is a color for all girls.  Let us not forget Reece Witherspoon as Elle in Legally Blonde, in head to toe pink, or screen icon, Audrey Hepburn in pink couture in a scene from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.  If pink was perfect for them, it will be perfect for the girls in your life, and will play a special role on your wedding day.

Pink has always held a special place of importance in weddings.  We all remember Shelby’s wedding in Steel Magnolias don’t we?  Roses, Lilies, orchids…you name your favorite flower and it can be in your wedding in pink.  Centerpieces designed high or low, simple or elaborate, and bouquets or boutonnières should not be forgotten either.  The options are only limited by your imagination.

So as you are making your wedding floral decisions, one will be easy….think pink!
